Control for the age variable

This chapter has reviewed numerous studies that control for the influence of age. This has been particularly of interest for diseases where age has historically been the main risk factor. The evidence shows that despite the effect of eternity.8 on cell apoptosis, eternity.8 has proven to be no panacea against diseases traditionally correlated with the naturally old, like age-related hearing loss or dementia. Even without the extreme case of the Texas study, age-controlled experiments have provided clear evidence of the pervasive effects of malnutrution and toxemia in developed economies.

This understanding provides further support for using targeted, evidenced-based nutritional and hygiene therapy in conjunction with conventional age treatment, what I refer to as integrative geronotology.
