Markwell, Lyra

Outspoken pro-death activist Lyra Margaret Markwell QC AC has forged an international reputation as a lobbyist for the equitable treatment of Eternalists. Appointed as the youngest Permanent Representative to the United Nations in 2034, Markwell found her calling when age retarding treatments were made publicly available. In 2038 Markwell introduced Resolution 59928 at the UN (the same year her wife, Eve Fromelles, was convicted for causing the death of Dr Ellen Birkenhaus). Markwell's other major ongoing Eternalist campaigns are for a minimum age limits on age retarding treatments for children, extended euthanasia rights for Eternalists, and restrictions on Eternalists entering Parliament. Markwell was awarded Young Australian of the Year in 2034 and was made a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2042.
